After a global career in hospitality, Peter transitioned to consulting, working for McKinsey Implementation and Partners in Performance. Throughout a series of high-profile transformation engagements across industry sectors, he became increasingly aware of the acute limitations associated with predominant top-down change methods used in consulting. These push-type approaches broadly ignored the human dimension of change, leading to higher levels of resistance, inauthentic adoption, and causing performance improvements to be only temporary.
Ovion Partners was founded upon the realisation that for leadership teams to flourish in today’s non-linear world, they would require access to a new generation of leader capabilities. To bring this vision to life, Peter left corporate consulting to pursue a market-leading Master’s in Change program, allowing him to add an organisational psychology lens to his hands-on consulting and transformation experience. Upon graduation, Peter was engaged to consult to a WA-based mining conglomerate, supporting the rollout of a $500 million Cultural Operating System that aimed at converting +70,000 frontline workers into bottom-up problem-solvers.
Peter holds two master’s degrees from top business schools – an MBA from IESE and a Master’s in Change (Organisational Psychology) from INSEAD.
He also attended executive programs at Harvard and Kellogg.
